WITH BIRTHTYPEÔ

You type the Birth Data once with BirthtypeÔ . If you have a PC/Tablet you take it with you to the Mother's bedside by signing on to your Wi-Fi you pull up the birth certificate you want and collect signatures. The parents, witnesses, and or notary can sign the data screen or the PDF form on the (PC/Tablet) computer. The signatures then become attached to the data in your database under your control. Since your TABLET IS A COMPUTER you can access the State's Citrix server and send the data with the signatures from the Mother's bedside. If you are not using a signature pad, or PC/Tablet for signing you  can still print out the forms and have them signed as you do now.

Internet time is minimized. You keep the Birth Certificate right where it is now, safe on YOUR COMPUTER.  

Vital didn't receive them you send them again because you always have your copy in your database . You will always be able to retrieve previously saved or sent birth certificates if you need to.

The Physicians, Certifiers, Users, or passwords in your system DO NOT have to be re-entered.

You will not experience a slowdown in software performance.

BIRTHTYPEÔ   Has only added signature fields to three screens that enables you to utilize electronic signatures and circumvent printing the forms. You do not have to change your software, re-train your people and suffer through the slow down that inevitably comes with starting over with something new.

BIRTHTYPEÔ Functionallity remains exactly the same. No difference in the way you complete the forms now. You now will have the option of signing in the signature field with a stylus rather than a pen on paper. CHANGE IS MINIMAL. You will still type in the data fields that you are familiar with but only data that is acceptable to Vital Statistics. Each and every screen will be checked for mistakes or questionable data before you are allowed to send, or print.  You will see RED or YELLOW flags calling your attention to the data that requires correcting. Once these flags are satisfied you may then send, print, or save the data.

You now need to prepare a Social Security Application. Select Social Security English or Spanish and BIRTHTYPEÔ automatically populates the form with signature to be printed or sent. 

To prepare the Healthy Start Application all you do is Select Healthy Start from your drop-down list in English, Spanish, or Creole. Then complete the consent portion and press print/send. After the software has determined whether or not the child qualifies for the Program it will compute the score and total it for you.  The form is completed from the Birth Data and only the “Consent questions need to be answered”. Now you can send/print with complete confidence because everything is saved on your computer as a back-up for you.

Your options are retained for changing the data without re-typing the BC. If the Mother wants to change anything on the Birth Application all you have to do is make the changes and PRESS SAVE.

The Father decides NOT to sign the Birth Application after you’ve prepared it FOR his signature.You simply “uncheck” the paternity box and PRESS SAVE. (One keystroke).
